I’ve just learnt today that a guider who once took me away to guide camp, supported me with events, helped me and mum countless times and just generally nice. Has been recognised for a MBE. Her name is Sue Southeran, she is being recognised for her MBE for her commitment to Girl Guiding in Cleveland. Sue has done all types of role, from being County Commissioner, ran guide packs, helped at brownies and rainbows. She supported me with getting my camp licence, which I thoroughly appreciate. The thing I like Sue the most for is, she never judges a guider, she always gave advice and even when you go to her with wacky ideas, she’ll always support it. You don’t get too many guiders around who are like her. I know that a few years ago her husband was recognised for a MBE too. So it’s nice to know she is being recognised too. Congratulations Sue, you truly deserve this honour!
