Disney Tag

As I’m a big fan of watching all things Disney on YouTube. I’ve decided to do the Disney Tag. A series of questions that you need to answer all relating to the wonderful Disney. If you have read my previous blogs you will know that I am a former cast member and that my love for Disney has stretched since I was very little. Though I have not been to a Disney Park for a whilst, I keep updated over all things new and exciting about the World of Disney. Some day when my life begins I wish to go back to a park… hopefully?! Also because these questions is what Carrie Hope Fletcher

A scene in any Disney movie you wish you could experience? If I could be Donald throughout Philharmagic I would be happy. I get to be a guest in the beast castle, be in Fantasia with Mickey, be part of that world with Ariel (check out her thingamabobs!), meet Simba who wants to be a king, fly off to Neverland with Peter Pan and be part of a new world with Aladdin and Jasmine!! If they could add in Bare Necesities scene from Jungle Book and Everybody wants to be a cat from The Aristocats, I’d be very happy! (My favourite attraction in Disney!!)

An unforgeable experience or moment you have had in the Disney parks? When finishing my program being a cultural rep in Disney, I got all emotional saying goodbye to the characters. As I walked into Magic Kingdom one last time to watch Wishes, it dawned on me that I really had to say goodbye. I went and que up with the guests to meet Goofy, Donald and Minnie. When talking to a cast member, my friend explained why I was so emotional. She told me to hold back for a whilst. What I didn’t know when walking in with no other guests around, was that Goofy, Minnie, Donald, the princesses Cinderella, Aurora, Snow White and Ariel and of course Mickey Mouse were there to give me a hug. Mickey gave me a letter to say, “it’s not goodbye, it’s see you soon!!” Final hugs, I loved them all for doing it, making my last memory as a cast member one which I have treasured for many years…..

What non Disney song brings back memory of the Disney and all the parks? Time of my Life by Green Day, Rise Up by Heather Small and Hey Jude by The Beatles.

Me and Mickey Mouse

When was the first time you went to a Disney park? When I was young, I forget how old I was. I don’t remember it as such, I remember things from the pictures and a feeling I had. There are plenty of photos of me including this one with me and Mickey Mouse. Oh my face……..

If you could choose any of the Disney characters to be your friend. Who would it be and why? I think Mickey Mouse… I like so many of them, but Mickey to me is someone I would trust, could have fun with and wants to make everyone smile!

Who is your favourite Disney Princess? Ariel and Belle – Ariel because she might have whozits and whatzits and thingamabobs galore but still wants more. Belle because she loves someone from the inside it doesn’t matter about their appearance.

Name a scene or moment that never fails to make you cry? It’s a new one, but the Let’s Go Fly a Kite scene from Saving Mr Banks. The whole film makes me cry and upset, but that scene really gets to me!

What was the first Disney movie you remember seeing? Beauty and the Beast! I was obsessed and loved it, especially Chip he’s my favourite!

What is your favourite Disney movie? I have three, Mary Poppins, Goofy and Mickey Mouse. I like Belle too as a character in the parks, never got me believing!

Best Disney villain? Ursula with the tentacles singing poor unfortunate souls. I love Paul O’Grady when he sings it too! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hTDVvh4PZ2M (it’s about 5mins in it!)

What is your favourite Disney song? Tale as Old as Time – my dream is to walk down the stairs like hers, in the dress she wears with my own beast waiting for me!  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uQ0ODCMC6xs

As you can tell I’m a big fan of Disney, but its been part of me since I was a child and will be with me throughout my adulthood. The movies make me smile. the characters feel like friends, the songs take you to somewhere new and the memories and moments last a life time. I’ll leave this tag with one quote, by the man who brought us Mickey Mouse, Walt Disney.

“Why do we have to grow up? I know more adults who have the children’s approach to life. They’re people who don’t give a hang what the Joneses do. You see them at Disneyland every time you go there. They are not afraid to be delighted with simple pleasures, and they have a degree of contentment with what life has brought – sometimes it isn’t much, either.”
