Curvy Girl + Work Wear
If you follow me on Pinterest you will know that I am constantly pinning outfits. Looking at different ones. I am obsessed and I ain’t afraid to admit it. I do like it as, it makes you think about putting different clothes together. Gives you inspiration for an upcoming night out, special occasion or whatever. It’s also a hindrance as it makes you constantly want to shop. However going from jeans, a baggy top and a hoodie to dressing for working in a office it has come in very handy. However how do you know what’s for you? I’m saying this because I feel like getting the balance for work wear is a hard one. Dressing up for a night out, I conquered whilst at university – where something pretty, heels and make sure you feel your best. At work it’s different.
Being a curvy lady it becomes tricky, having to make sure the clothes you wear are a decent length, not flashing your assets (one I have learn’t over the years) and being professional. However when back at home, I went through my wardrobe, brought down clothes I originally bought when starting work for another job. As they hang in my wardrobe for two more weeks now, I don’t think I have the confidence to wear them. Why you ask? Due to my constant looking on Pinterest, searching hashtag on Instagram & Twitter it makes me want an approval to wear them. I know this sounds crazy, but it’s true. Reading other people blogs I’ve discovered I’m not the only one who does it.
So here it is another promise to make, I promise to wear my wardrobe. To wear more colour. To loose weight so I can feel happier in my skin. Vow that my Pinterest obsession will die down. However I still think it’s an amazing tool, so will be continuing to look, just not so much! Wear the clothes I have bought. Become more confident. It may help me find my own style of work wear.
