Lazy Sunday with the boys & their mam
Waking up early on a Sunday has never been something I’ve been good at. Knowing this morning when my alarm went off at 8.30am, I was off to see the boys i.e my nephews, i lept out of bed. When I arrived, I got greeted by Sarah who said “Look who’s this Josh…… it’s Aunty Char!” Hearing me being referred to as Aunty Char, makes me smile from ear to ear. I got handed Eoin for some cuddles and a high five from Josh. We had a snack, got ready, put on boots, puddle suits and bear ear jumpers on and walked off to the park. Pushing Josh on the swings and hearing him laugh is always fun. He likes to go high as he can. A few trips down the slide and it was back to Sarah’s for some lunch, which was eggy bread and a nap.
I don’t get to see the boys all the time, but when I do I treasure the moments we have. Little trips to the park and being able to catch up with Sarah is all that is needed. As the boys grow up (& me too), I know we will have bigger adventures but for now it’s the little things like this I appreciate a lot.
