The Five Why’s
Whilst in work I was trying to complete a task. I was becoming stuck and started to panic. I took time to think, re-focus, when suddenly a conversation from a university lecturer came into my mind. This lecturer was not my favourite, truth be told, quite a scary one. The sort you would run away from. Though I was shocked that my brain somehow remembered this conversation it made me think about learning lessons from others.
I do believe that with every person we meet we can learn something fromm them. We might not always know what we learn from them at the time. It may even take years later to realise this.We may not always agree with what others say or how they act, but in every person there’s a lesson to be learnt deep down inside. We’ve just got to figure out what that lesson is.
I now know 6 years on, that this lecturer was telling me something which will come invaluable when overcoming a challenge in work. Today I thank you Phil Higson and your talk to me on the Five Why’s.
