Not feeling like the black sheep….

For a long time, I’ve always felt like the black sheep of the family. This weekend, I’ve come to the conclusion I’m not the black sheep of the family.

My uncle, my dad’s brother arrived to stay for a few days to stay with my aunt and cousin. Since they arrived, I’ve realised that what i thought was unique traits, is actually a “Henderson” thing! So I thought I would share some of them….

Me and my younger cousins, have the knack of driving somewhere and knowing all the shortcuts between here and where we go. So if we’re stuck in traffic we can go different routes and know where we go.

I always thought I was odd with wanting to hand on to stuff, but no it’s just my half of the family that think that’s weird. Where my uncle think it’s fine to hold on to stuff. I’m never going to get rid off stuff. I will admit I’m a hoarder but I’m a Disney hoarder, so that makes it okay.

Larger and lime isn’t a granny drink, but a tasty drink!!

Binge watching movies and series on Netflix is normal………

Also watching TV series like suits, Game of Thrones too!

I now feel normal and not weirdo like I normally feel like……. it feels good! I understand there’s stuff my close family will like and I don’t. There’s quite a bit they agree with. If I want to watch shows I like I shouldn’t feel bad / weird about it. We’re all different but together we make a great team. It’s just nice to know after nearly 30 years, I actually have stuff in common with my uncle, aunt and cousins!
