Walkers Sandwich Flavor Crisps

Lunch time comes, you’ve got your sandwich and after a bag of crisps. So you decide to get a bag of crisps which flavour do you get? Cheese & Onion? Salt & Vinegar? Hula Hoops? Quavers? Skips? With too much choice out there, you would think they couldn’t bring out anymore.

Walkers have brought out there new sandwich flavour crisps, with six new varieties of crisps to choose from. The flavours are Cheese Toastie & Worcester Sauce, Sausage & Brown Sauce, Bacon & Tomato Ketchup, Ham & Mustard, Roast Chicken & Mayonnaise and Cheese, Cucumber & Salad Cream.

Last week, I chose three flavours Bacon & Tomato Ketchup,  Cheese Cucumber and Salad Cream and Cheese Toastie & Worcester Sauce? Here’s what I think…

Bacon & Tomato Ketchup. I love bacon, I love tomato ketchup, especially together with a cup of coffee on a Sunday morning. Bringing smokey bacon and tomato ketchup flavours together is a perfect combination. I really liked this flavour as I like smokey bacon crisps, I would definitely buy them again.

Cheese Cucumber and Salad Cream. Having already spoke to a work colleague about these crisps, I was very intrigued to try them. Opening the packet you automatically can smell the Heinz Salad Cream. Going for the taste it has a very strong flavour of mint. It could be the cucumber, but the mint flavour is very overpowering. A light flavour crisp, but this weird flavour would definitely mean I wouldn’t go back and purchase them.

Cheese Toastie & Worcester Sauce. A disappointing crisp, with no flavour of the cheese at all. When you taste Cheese and Onion, you get the taste of both flavours. This one it looks like the crisp is yellow enough to represent the cheese but the taste is purely Worcester sauce. If you want Worcester sauce then pick up a purple bag. Whilst there around I would pick up another bag.

Personally I think Cheese Toastie & Worcester Sauce are disappointing. Bacon & Tomato Ketchup are just fabulous and the best one so far. The Cheese, Cucumber & Salad Cream have a very odd mint flavour to them. Personally I didn’t like them.

So far not impressed by any of them, but still want to try the Sausage & Brown Sauce, Ham & Mustard and Roast Chicken & Mayonnaise. Plan for next week is to try them all. I will report back with my finding and review of them all.
