Mary Berry’s Express Lasagne
Whilst in work I got a text saying “Can you pick up a Lasagna for tea tonight please?” off my Dad. I thought okay no worries and just about to send a reply. When a recipe of Mary Berry’s came to mind. I got her Absoloute Favourites cook book for Easter last year.Whilst I was home with Mum, I cooked some of the recipes including her very delicious Express Lasagna. I text Dad back, told him I would cook Lasagna, went to Sainsburys and bought the ingredients.

The recipe was easy to cook, cooking of the sausage meat, adding mushrooms and creme freche to make a creamy sauce. Mixing the pasata, sundried tomato paste and sugar. Assembling it together with lasagne sheets and adding cheese where possible.
This recipe is a change from the regular lasagna, personally I liked having the sausage meat and spinach in it as a change. I love spinach as it makes a nice change. I think for me I would reduce the tomato sauce down, as it came out very tomato and it reduces tasting the texture of the creamy sausage meat part. Overall, this express lasagna was cooked within an hour. Tasted a lot better then any shop bought lasagna out the supermarket. One Dad said he is very happy for me to make again!
Let me know if you give it a go 🙂
