Film Review: Bridget Jones’s Baby

I wrote a blog about the things Bridget Jones has taught me. In this blog I said about that I was excited to go see the new Bridget Jones Baby movie. Whilst away for a few days, I got to go see it.

So here are my reasons why you should go see Bridget Jones’s Baby. *Be-aware spoilers alert!*

The number one and most important reason is Mr Patrick Dempsey stars in it. From being the prince charming in  Enchanted, to the drop dead gorgeous doctor in Greys Anatomy to juggling plates in Maid of Honour, I’ve been a fan. He’s a perfect edition to the movie!!

She proves that if you’re really lucky you can have two amazing men chase after you!!!

I loved this film, thought it was funny from the start! Emma Thompson is hilarious as the midwife throughout, plays the part amazing! It’s nice to see life has moved on, so has she, but things have stayed the same. I loved the baby classes scenes too.

I think Renee pulls off a brilliant pregnant Bridget Jones, I respect her for not changing her looks etc. I knew Hugh Grant wouldn’t be in this movie, I think the memorial scene was good but very relieved by the end scene, knowing he might be back! I think Colin Firth plays Mark Darcy, like the other ones, but in my opinion lost his looks.

Overall I loved the film, would go see it again at the cinema, repeatedly watch it on DVD. I hope it’s out before Christmas – perfect for a hangover Christmas rom com!
