There is always something to be thankful for
As it’s Thanksgiving in America today. It’s traditional in America to go around and share the things in which you are thankful for.
I thought I would share the things I am thankful for. As I believe it’s important to take the time and remember we have so much more than other people throughout the world. Like running water, food, electricity and these should be thankful we have them every day.
The first main thing I am thankful for is my wonderful sister and brother in law. My sister has been a rock to me and I don’t think I could have got through a lot lately without her. I know she is there, at the end of a phone and on Facebook messenger when living without a phone. Opening up her home and family to me when I need it. She is a super mum & sister and I love her too bits. To my brother in law you may annoy me but you put up with me and for that I am thankful. Which leads on to my next thankful thing…
My nephews, who knew they could bring me so much joy and smiles. They keep me going so much and I love how they love the simple things. Colouring in sheets. Watching a movie. Starting to learn the magic of Christmas. They show me the world which I often forget about.
This past few months has made me thankful to having a free NHS system and for the staff whom work there.
I am thankful for the little things in life, like dance, music, and a body that can move. Yes it may be slow in the morning, has a few more curves and problem’s but it moves.
I am thankful for my friends, whether I work with them now or previously, went to school with them, do brownies with them or have met them living in Windsor in the past few weeks. It doesn’t matter how far or close I am thankful for them all. I know I can turn to them and they will be there for guidance, support, make me happy when sad even if it’s a joke or a drop in to say hello. I am thankful for them all.
The last thing I am thankful is the one thing I am proud of the most is my job and the people who work there. I am thankful I work for a charity who change lives of young people on a daily basis.
Writing this list down has made me realise I have so much to be greatful for and there’s so much more to be thankful for. Like being able to walk down by the river, go for a walk down the long walk, having different cultures and food around me and being close to London.
Today is a perfect day to share what you are thankful for the most.
