Things to do in London this Christmas ..
Christmas is a fabulous time to spend time with London. Not just for seeing the lights and going shopping but much more than that. There is so much to do for every kind of person and some doesn’t cost a lot.
There are so many Christmas Lights to see from walking down Regent Street, Oxford Street, Carnaby Street, around Leicester Square and Covent Garden their are plenty. This year Oxford Street is sponsored by the NSPCC and Carnaby has palm trees and flamingos.
Winter Wonderland is perfect to go get gingerbread, mulled wine and hog roast baps. It’s filled with loads of stalls and rides to do too set in the beautiful Hyde Park. Check out my blog post!
I’m not the biggest fan of ice skating. I’ve got no balance and would honestly break something if I did it. However one thing I love is that London had their own NYC ice skating rink at National History Musuem. It looks beautiful and magical.
I remember as a kid getting excited about the Fenwicks Christmas window display each year. So seeing each of the is a big department store windows is a must do on my list. This year John Lewis was themed around their advert Moz the Monster. Selfridges has a floating santa window. Marks and Spencer has Paddington theme one to go with their advert and Harrods is Dolce & Gabana theme window.
London is a fab place to be at Christmas time. With the markets down Southank, hidden London gems to visit like outdoor cinema events, market place, seeing a show on the West End or going for a festive drink somewhere. I’m not keen on going in London but it’s fun at Christmas as there’s so much to see and do.
