Best alternative Christmas movies

At Christmas time my mum is the champion of watching Hallmark Christmas movies, she has seen them all. I can guarantee when I go home next week she will have one on. However I am not talking about Love Actually, It’s A Wonderful Life and A Muppets Christmas Carol or the main ones. The ones you find on Christmas TV channel. However there is some perfect ones to watch this year and Netflix have added there own too.

A Christmas Prince.  An aspiring young journalist is sent on an assignment of a lifetime. Part of her assignment involves interviewing a dashing prince with whom she falls in love with.

Christmas Inheritance. This is about a young party heiress being told to deliver Christmas letters a tradition her family business have done from the beginning. When delivering the letters she gets to meet some town people.

A Christmas Wish. A young woman is left homeless and bankrupt by her ex husband. She goes looking for work and finds it in a small town as a late night waitress. Whilst working there she befriends an old man who was played by the late Edward Herrman.

Signed Sealed Delivered for Christmas. This is one of my mums favorites. It’s a post office tracking missed delivered letters. The team track down two people which have been separated for years.

Mrs Miracle. Another one of my mums favorite. It’s about a man trying to find a nanny for his six year old twins. Personally not for me but it does star James Van Der Beek aka Dawson from Dawsons Creek.

Non of these movies are scary, heartbreaking films but uplift warm feeling Christmas movies. However they are cheesy but they make Christmas. Like I said my mum loves these and it now wouldn’t be Christmas without them being on the TV.
