Food Festival: British Food Festival

Travelling in and out of Windsor I see a lot of advertisements for events happening in the area. I spotted the British Food Festival been advertised. Checking the website I was appealed, when telling my Dad and Michelle we decided to go. Arriving inside Windsor Racecourse there was a less cars then I expected. No ques to get in. When through the ticket barrier, the area was quiet with not many people walking around. I think this was because the weather forecast was poor and it was currently rainy. Moving around we were… Read More

Food Festivals – Proper Food Fest 2016

On Twitter, I spotted a blogger from the North-East, re-tweeting about this a food festival happening in South Shields. Going home for the bank holiday weekend, I thought lets go. This particular food festival is running for the second year with four different locations. It runs over three days, from 10am to 5pm and is free for all guests to visit.  Turning up on a breezy Sunday afternoon, the car parks locally were busy. Taking place in a  park it has four rows of stalls and on the outskirts lots of hot food to… Read More

Food Festivals – Camberley Big Day Out

On Saturday 21st May, I went to Camberley town centre to their big day out event. I didn’t know the event was happening despite living so close. Finding the event on Facebook and being told by Sarah, it promoted having activities for kids as well as holding a farmers market. I decided to head over to check it out. On arrival, it was very busy to park with lots of families trying to get in and out of the centre. Heading towards the high street, I came across activities for the kids,… Read More

At this time of year, I look forward to the season of food festivals. Going to a destination and seeing it full of new products and new businesses. Tasting the different types of food on offer and discovering new exciting ones like BBQ Bacon Scotch Eggs. I discovered this delicious item at last… Read More

Food Festival: Cake and Bake London 2016

So a few weeks ago my dad and his wife Michelle told me that they bought tickets to go to the Cake and Bake show in London at the Excel. I was thrilled as I attended the show in Harrogate. It was a lot of fun, as we got to see demonstrations, sample new food and I met Charlotte White. Yesterday, we got up early, got the train to Waterloo and headed over to the EXCEL. I’ve never been to the EXCEL or heard about the Emirates Air Line, which I totally… Read More

Food Festival: Woking Food Festival 2015

Is there anything better then wandering around a food festival trying new foods and drinks? I have been attending different types of food festivals/fairs/events for years. My first one was in 2001. Studying for my GCSEs my Food Technology teacher took a group of us to the Good Food Show in Birmingham. I spent the day wandering around trying new foods and being wowed on the things offered there. I remember coming away with lots of bags including a Christmas cake decoration, New York bagels (not in the shops then!) and Galaxy chocolates! Since then… Read More
