Words that make me giggle

Day 12 – Two words that make you giggle and laugh. One of my earliest blogs was writing about hearing my nephew laugh for the first time. It wasn’t until I heard my nephew laugh for the first time that it made me think how powerful laughing is. It’s a sound which we make, it could be uncontrollable a blurt out here or there or just continuous. Like in Mary Poppins, I love to laugh. Here are my two words which make me laugh. Hornswoggle. Yes I know I spoke about this in… Read More

Throwback to Saint Patrick’s Day

As it’s Saint Patrick’s Day, I thought I would reminisce and remember about past Saint Patrick’s Day celebrations I’ve had. A day to drink Guinness, eat stew and spend with friends. Saint Patrick’s Day in Disney. Whilst spending a year in Disney, I regularly went on nights out with fellow cast members. Each Monday we did a night where the lads and lasses separately had drinks and games before heading out and meeting up. On this specific night we have themes. As we had many cast members from Northern Ireland, celebrating Saint Patrick’s… Read More

I am lucky to call her a friend and thankful I got invited to her hen… Read More

Feeling Positive

Personally my outlook is this webpage. It’s got me thinking about feeling positive? At the Brownie Camps I’ve attended we always ask the girls about what they enjoyed the best…. Read More

Josh’s 1st Birthday

September has been a very busy month for birthdays and celebrating including a birthday party. The first is my mum’s birthday. This year I felt guilty with not being at home helping her celebrate. To be fair, I knew I couldn’t be but it never changed the guilt feeling. Past years, we have always done something to celebrate, a craft fair last year, out to dinner most years or afternoon tea. Making sure flowers were bought, sweets were wrapped up and something special bought. I feel guilty, as she has done a lot… Read More

Cooking smurf cauliflower!

In the first Bridget Jones’s Diary movie, she spends four hours cooking “blue soup, omelette and marmalade” pointed out by her friends whilst having a celebratory dinner. The soup turned blue due to the string she put in to tie the bouquet garni together. Bridget says before her friends arrive with Mark now helping her cook, “it’s blue……. oh it must be from the string!!” Why her friends were served blue soup. Due to the popularity of the movie and this scene you can now make your own blue soup http://www.food.com/recipe/bridget-jones-blue-soup-96158. Tonight I wasn’t… Read More
